Self Esteem
The sense of self is deleveloping and identity formation is the task of adolescence. Learning to not define yourself by failures can be difficult.
Resilience
.The art of bouncing back when adversity or challenges hit. We all need some extra help from time to time. Learning how to perservere and develop grit are ways to build a strong character.
Anxiety
Social Anxiety is very common during adolescents and one of the main areas we work on with teens.
Depression
Depression feels heavy and like a big dark cloud. Depression at any stage can be difficult to manage and overcome. Teens may feel sadness more days than not, frequent teariness, poor concentration, poor sleep, withdrawal from friends and activities, feelings of worthless/loss of hope, weight gain or loss, increase in anger (can also be a sign).
Adjustments
Changes happen! Changing schools, moving home, illness, death, divorce and separation. All of these things are major life stressor and impact on us all. Sometimes just having someone listen can help.
School/Uni Stress
Stress and pressure as a results of exams and assessments. Sometimes there may be underlying learning difficulties at other times we may find procrastination has stepped in which can lead to a high level of stress. Sometimes we just need help looking at what is getting in our way.
