Package 6: Comprehensive Child Autism Assessment

Package 6: Comprehensive Child Autism Assessment (14 hours)
  • At Brilliant Minds Psychology, we provide a unique experience for Autism Assessments. We follow a gold standard Autism Assessment approach. ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) or Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) is a developmental condition that impacts both children and adults alike. ASD is identified with difficulties in social communication and interaction, developing and maintaining relationships, repetitive behaviours of behaviour, restricted interests as well as often experiencing sensory sensitivity. Such identified difficulties are known to create significant impairment in important aspects of an individuals life, such as home, school and interacting in the community.

  • The Comprehensive Child Autism Assessment includes the following:

  • Session 1: Parent Only Clinical interview using Autism Diagnostic Interview - Revised (ADI-R) and the DSM-5 ASD criteria. No babies or children are to attend the intake session. Parent only session (2 Hours)
  • Session 2: Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule, 2nd Edition (ADOS-2) (1 Hour)
  • Session 3: Cognitive Assessment with Child - WPPSI-IV or WISC-V (2 Hours)
  • Session 4: Parent or Guardian Feedback session (1 Hour)
  • A Comprehensive Autism Assessment report inclusive of 8 Hours of report writing will be provided with recommendations. Frequently Asked Questions How Long Until I Receive My Child's Report? Please note that there is a two to three week turn around for report writing. There is up to a four week turnaround for report writing is the assessment is completed with a provisional psychologist. Total Cost is based on 14 hours of clinicians time based on our assessment rate. A $400 non refundable deposit is required at the time of booking.
  • Optional: If further assessment of ADHD for children (not adults) is warranted we may recommend that your child undergoes a further one hour of testing using the Test of Everyday Attention for Children | Second Edition (TEA-Ch2). An additional 2 hours at our assessment rates are charged when this occurs to cover 1 hour of resting an 1 hour of scoring/report writing.
